Serbian Armed Forces the first to send tanks of water to Uzice

After the declaration of a state of emergency in Uzice due to polluted drinking water, the Serbian Armed Forces sent to that city yesterday ten tanks of drinking water. The SAF tanks will be placed at the disposal of citizens of Uzice for as long as needed.

Due to flourishing of algae and presence of cyanobacteria in water supply network in Uzice, near the end of December in the previous year, using water from the Vrutci Lake became forbidden.
Afterwards, the Armed Forces of Serbia, with the help of workers at the “Jedinstvo” factory in Uzice, built a new water supply system in only 18 days, for supplying Uzice with water, from Susicko Vrelo to Stapari village.
