Visiting the Hungarian Defence Forces

At the invitation of the Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Ferenc Korom, Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović, with the Serbian Armed Forces delegation, has been on a two-day visit to Hungary.

General Mojsilović was welcomed by General Korom with the highest military honors at the Heroes Square in Budapest, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony and official talks between the two delegations at the General Staff of the Hungarian Defence Forces. 

During the official talks, the current security situation in the region, existing cooperation in the field of defence and the possibilities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the areas of mutual interest were discussed.

During the talks, General Mojsilović emphasized that consistent application of international law and the achieved international agreements is a priority and an indispensable condition in efforts to preserve peace and stability in the region. He expressed his gratitude for the professional engagement of the Hungarian troops within KFOR, and the constructive support for joint defence activities.

In continuation of the visit, Chief of the General Staff will meet with the Hungarian Minister of Defence, Dr Tibor Benko, and attend a demonstration of the capabilities of the Warship and Demining units of the Hungarian Defence Forces.
