Visit of the Military Bishop of Niš Arsenije

The Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović, met today with the Military Bishop of Niš Arsenije, who visited the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces. 

During the meeting, they talked about the previous cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Serbian Orthodox Church, the work results of military chaplains, i.e. religious servants and plans for further development of Religious Service in the Serbian Armed Forces.

In the continuation of his visit, the Bishop Arsenije was presented with the missions, tasks and basic structure of the General Staff and the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as the organization, activities and results of the Religious Service.

The Religious Service in the Serbian Armed Forces is organized in order to achieve freedom of religion for members of the armed forces, strengthen spiritual and moral values and nurture military virtues and patriotism. Members of the Serbian Armed Forces participate in the activities of the Religious Service according to their own will and conviction, while respecting the obligations arising from military service.
