Sports Meeting Between Officers of Serbia and Hungary

The traditional football match between generals and senior officers of the Serbian and the Hungarian Armed Forces was held yesterday at the Puskás Academy in Felcsút near Budapest.

The ninth consecutive football match of members of the two armies was played in a friendly atmosphere and contributed to the further strengthening of bilateral military cooperation and mutual understanding. The score was not important, and this time sports luck was on the Serbian side.

The hosts were led by the Deputy Commander of the Hungarian Army, Lieutenant General Dr. Gabor Berendi, and our team by the Chief of the Operations Department of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Major General Želimir Glišović.

Sports meetings between generals and senior officers of the two armies have been traditionally held since 2015, alternately in Serbia and Hungary, and the previous friendly match was played in April this year in Stara Pazova.
