Chief of General Staff Visiting the Russian Federation

Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović stays in an official visit to the Russian Federation, during which he met Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the host country, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov and attended the opening of the “International Military Games 2019”.

At the meeting with General Gerasimov, the interlocutors discussed current politico-security situation in the region and world, and further enhancement of military cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Russian Federation. On that occasion, they confirmed mutual readiness for the continuation of versatile cooperation in the fields of mutual interest.

The Chief of General Staff thanked General Gerasimov for the assistance of the Russian Federation in equipping the Serbian Armed Forces, pointing out that our armed forces would continue developing their capabilities in cooperation with all partner states.

In the park “Patriot” near Moscow, General Mojsilović attended official opening ceremony of the “International Military Games 2019” and he observed the first race held at training area “Alabino” in the event “Tank Biathlon” in which the members of the Serbian Armed Forces took part.

About 6,000 soldiers from 39 countries participate in the two-week “International Army Games 2019” competition. They will compete in 32 disciplines, covering almost all conventional Army branches. Our armed forces’ members compete in the Tank Biathlon, Military Rally and Sniper Border disciplines.
