CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
TO MILITARY VETERANS
ON THE OCCASION OF THE VETERANS’ DAY, 4 DECEMBER
On the occasion of December 4 – the Day of Military Veterans, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all military veterans.
By signing the armistice in the First Balkan War on this day in 1912, 400,000 fighters of the Kingdom of Serbia received the title "Old Warrior", which today would be equal to the name "military veteran“.
Every year, many activities in the field of traditions are conducted precisely with the aim of not forgetting the deeds of military veterans and for the sake of values paid with life, such as freedom, honor and independence, not fading.
Mentioning bright examples of military veterans, we educate our descendants to know that they appreciate the achievements of the struggle of their ancestors and enjoy the hard-won freedom. Only in this way can we create new, honorable and brave guardians of our homeland.
Dear veterans, with congratulations on the holiday, I wish you good health, long life, personal and family happiness.
