Members of the Serbian Armed Forces Successful at the 32nd Belgrade Marathon

At the 32nd Belgrade marathon, which was held today on the streets of the capital, under the slogan “Run, Enjoy, and Help Someone”, members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces achieved a great success.

In the female competition of the marathon race, Captain Nevena Jovanović from the Special Purpose Military Police Battalion “Kobre” won the third place, behind two female runners from Kenya, and with the result 3:00,37 she has become the best placed female competitor from Serbia.
 
Lieutenant Colonel Nenad Milosavlјević from Training and Doctrine Department (J-7) of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces was placed ninth with achieved result of 2:45,02 and became the best ranked competitor from Serbian in the demanding marathon event.
 
This year the marathon had the record number of participants. More than 8,000 competitors from 70 countries ran the marathon and semi-marathon races. According to organiser’s estimates, 15,000 people participated in the “Pleasure race”.
