Firefighting Training in SAF

The training of non-commissioned officers, professional soldiers and civilians for the duty of a firefighter in the Serbian Armed Forces is being conducted at training ranges and premises of the Logistics Training Centre.
During the training, the trainees acquire knowledge and skills for putting fires out, protection of movables and evacuation of personnel, independently or as a part of fire brigades.
The training programme includes the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge about the organisation of fire protection in barracks and garrisons of the Serbian Armed Forces, fire prevention measures, firefighting equipment, as well as firefighting tactics.
Within the training, a firefighting exercise will be conducted, when the trainees will evaluate in practice their knowledge and skills for extinguishing different classes of fires with formation and handheld firefighting equipment.
By conducting the training in the Logistics Training Centre for the duty of a firefighter, the defence system obtains trained and competent personnel to perform duties in firefighting teams established by the Serbian Armed Forces units.
