Serbian Armed Forces Have a First Female Pilot on Orao Fighter Aircraft

Captain Ana Perišić, member of 241st Fighter-Bomber Aviation Squadron of the 98th Air Force Brigade, performed the first solo flight on the "Orao" aircraft today and thus became the first female pilot on an attack aircraft in the history of our Armed Forces.

The successfully performed control flight at the military airport "Morava" in Lađevci was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, who pointed out that he was very proud that a woman became the first pilot of an attack fighter plane.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, then visited the recently procured aircraft that are part of the 98th Air Force Brigade and talked to the pilots and technical staff of the 241st Fighter-Bomber Aviation Squadron.
