Salvo on the Victory Day

On the occasion of 9th May - the Day of Victory over Fascism, members of the Serbian Armed Forces Guard fired a salvo of ten volleys from six artillery pieces on the Sava Terrace at Kalemegdan.

The fire was preceded by playing the national anthem and raising the flag of the Republic of Serbia in front of many citizens, as well as the reading of the Order of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
 
The salvo was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Ljubiša Diković, accompanied by the Serbian Armed Forces Guard Commander Major General Milomir Todorović.
 
The celebration marking the day of remembrance at the end of the Second World War, that is, the Day of Victory over Fascism represents a long-standing tradition, which is regulated by the Order of the President of the Republic.
