The First International Military Drivers' Competition

At the autodrome “Beranovac” near Kraljevo, the first International Military Drivers' Competition was completed today with the participation of nine teams and eighteen competitors from Serbia, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria and Hungary.

The three day long competition was marked by exciting races, displayed skills of military drivers and competitive spirit, and the final results showed that the first place in the team competition was won by the team of the Serbian Armed Forces, the second place went to the team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the third went to the team of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Austria.
 
The best driver of the international competition is Corporal Slobodan Milašinović, the second place was taken also by a member of the Serbian Armed Forces Corporal Borivoje Tašaković, while the third place in the individual competition was taken by Evdokimov Maxim Viktorovich from the team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
 
The deciding competition and final rides were observed by Commander of the Training Command Lieutenant General Đokica Petrović, Head of Logistics Department (J-4) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff Brigadier General Želјko Ninković, Commander of the 2nd Army Brigade Colonel Želјko Kuzmanović, Commander of the Logistic Training Centre Colonel Dragan Ljubić, defence attachés of the armed forces of Germany, Russia, Austria, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and other countries.
 
Commander of the Training Command Lieutenant General Đokica Petrović greeted the present viewers and competitors on behalf of Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff of General Ljubiša Diković.
 
– We have undoubtedly achieved the goals of the organisation of the competition of motor vehicle drivers, both in the plane of enhancement of cooperation of our armed forces with the armed forces of foreign countries in the area of traffic safety, and military transport, and in the area of sharing the experiences in training. We are glad that we were able to present to our friends and competitors the capacities of the Serbian Armed Forces for the training of drivers of non-combat vehicles. On the other hand, we believe that the guests have been pleased with the programme and the realisation of the competition – General Petrović pointed out.
 
The International Military Drivers' Competition, which started on 15th May, was organised by the Training Command and Logistics Department (J-4), while everything was executed by the members of the Transport Service Training Battalion, of the Logistic Training Centre, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Goran Dobrić.
