So far, 8.3 km of road were finished in unfavorable weather conditions while the road is expected to be completely finished in two weeks’ time. The President of Kursumlija municipality Zoran Vuckovic with the commander of 310th engineering battalion Lt. Col. Dragan Stanojevic has recently visited the commanders and soldiers of the engineering unit.
On that occasion Vuckovic presented the members of engineering units with acknowledgements for their professionalism, stressing that construction works on this road are extremely important for the people in that region, as the finalization of this stretch of road would enable economic prosperity and return of young people to these regions at the very border with the administrative line with Kosovo.
This project is realized within the CIMIC plan between the Third Brigade and Kursumlija municipality, where the members of the Third Brigade are performing construction works while the Ministry for Infrastructure is providing funds. In the village of Rasevac which is 22 km away from Kursumlija and just 320 meters away from the administrative border line with Kosovo, there are 22 households where senior citizens live, while young people left the village pursuing better life in the urban areas.
