At the provisional Titel training ground on the Tisa River, the River Flotilla carried out a Live Fire Tactical Training (LFTT) exercise dubbed ‘Blue Route 2019’.

The exercise, performed in real-time meteorological conditions, began with a twenty-four-hour check of readiness and action of the Quick Reaction Naval Combat Group composed of the command ship and three ships of different types, while the significant novelty in training was action of the newly formed combined task groups and shooting at the moving target on the water during the navigation.

According to their nature and requirements, combat operations are characterised by a joint and simultaneous tactical-fire action of three to five ships of different purposes – multi-purpose, patrol and landing ships. Such engagement of ships of different manoeuvrability and firing capabilities during the execution of tactical actions and procedures led to achieving full interoperability of assets within the River Flotilla.

In addition, apart from the already established ground and water targets, a moving target, the "C" floating mine target was set up at a distance of 300 meters, whose destruction required cooperation of two ships.

For the purpose of realising special forms of teaching, the LFTT exercise included 17 cadets of 140th and 141st classes of the Military Academy, the River Units module. Cadets of the final year of studies performed single firings behind the sights of ship artillery equipment, while the younger ones mastered the basics of navigation tactics.
