Meeting With Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Ministry of Defence

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović met today in Belgrade with the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Federal Republic of Germany, Thomas Silberhorn.
During the meeting, they discussed the current political and security situation in the region, the key challenges and security threats in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija and the activities of military-military cooperation between Serbia and Germany.
They also talked about joint participation in the European Union Training Mission in Mali where the Serbian Armed Forces have deployed a three-member medical team within a German light field hospital since December 2014.
They jointly noted that military-economic cooperation represents a significant segment of overall bilateral defence relations, especially considering that Serbia will equip its security forces with German helicopters.
During the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further enhancement of military-military cooperation in areas of mutual interest and initiated a bilateral meeting at the highest military level.
