Training in Overcoming Water Obstacles

Tuesday, 3.8.2021 | Training
Members of the Army reconnaissance units are conducting regular training in summer conditions, which includes overcoming water obstacles with the use of organic and improvised devices.

The construction of vessels from hand tools is a test of knowledge and skill, both in terms of the selection of materials for the construction of rafts and load calculation, and the construction of the vessel itself, which will enable successful execution of a task without revealing the position of a unit.

The training also includes tactical actions of reconnaissance patrol, procedures in disguise, bringing a unit to the area of task execution, performing diversion, and concealing traces of movement. Remotely piloted aircraft are also used in the training for the collection of intelligence data on enemy movement and the situation in the territory.

The conduct of the training improves the competence of the reconnaissance units and their members to execute assigned tasks in the enemy disposition, primarily at tactical depth, in all land and weather conditions.
