Meeting of the Chief of General Staff and KFOR Commander

The Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilović met today with KFOR Commander Major General Salvatore Cuoci.
The first official meeting between the two generals, since September this year, when General Mojsilović was appointed as the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, was held in the barracks „Topčider“ in Belgrade.
Generals Mojsilović and Cuoci discussed current security situation in Kosovo and Metohija as well as conducting of the joint activities of the SAF and KFOR.
Expressing concern over recent events General Mojsilović particularly pointed out that unilateral and non-transparent actions complicate the situation on the ground and therefore respect of all agreements in force and obligations deriving from them is of essential importance for security in Kosovo and Metohija.
He stressed that mutual interest of the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR is to maintain security in the areas of responsibility astride the administrative line and that KFOR as international factor is the most responsible for safety of all citizens in this Province, and especially non-Albanian population.
This is a high level meeting of the Joint Committee for the Implementation of the Military Technical Agreement which consists of KFOR Committee and the Committee of the representatives of security forces of the Republic of Serbia. The meetings of the Joint Committee have been regularly held at different levels since 1999, for the purpose of implementation of the Military Technical Agreement.
