OF AUGUST 6 – THE DAY OF THE BRANCH AND THE DAY OF RIVER FLOTILLA
On behalf of members of the Serbian Armed Forces and myself, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the members of the River units branch and River flotilla on the occasion of August 6 – the Day of the branch and the Day of River flotilla.
On this Day in 1915, the first Serbian warship “Jadar”, made by the hands of local experts at the Čukarica shipyard, was launched from the Sava River.
Preserving the tradition of more than a century, with your professionalism and expertise you justify the trust that you enjoy in the Serbian Armed Forces and society.
I am sure that, even in restrictive conditions, you will be ready to carry out the assigned tasks in a quality and responsible manner, giving a full contribution to the building of a modern armed forces, which, as before, will be an institution of great trust of Serbian citizens.
