Effective Immunization of SAF Personnel Against Covid 19

In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health for emergency immunization of the population against Covid 19, the Serbian Armed Forces has taken measures for rapid and efficient vaccination of its personnel against this contagious disease.
Vaccination of SAF personnel began on January 19 at the Belgrade Fair and then continued in units and military health institutions in accordance with plans and established dynamics for the implementation of immunization.
All SAF members have been given the opportunity to be immunized with one of the currently available vaccines in the Republic of Serbia, and if they wish, they can apply for immunization through the eGovernment portal as well as other citizens.
In this way, conditions were created for the unhindered conducting of the tasks of the Serbian Armed Forces, with the simultaneous protection of people and their families. The very process, starting from expressing interest in vaccination, through the questionnaire that a SAF member fills out, to receiving the vaccine is fast, and the vaccine can also be received in the field conditions.
Doctors from the Department of Health Protection in SAF units and military health institutions enter the data on SAF personnel vaccination in the database of the Institute of Public Health of Serbia "Dr Milan Jovanović Batut", which allows the authorities a full insight into vaccination in the Republic of Serbia.
The Serbian Armed Forces has recognized the importance of mass immunization suppressing the Covid 19 pandemic in the Republic of Serbia and enabling health, economic and overall social recovery from the consequences of the pandemic, so the number of people interested in vaccination is large.
Consistent application of measures for suppression and prevention of the spread of the infectious disease Covid 19 and timely immunization has achieved enviable success in preserving the life and health of SAF personnel and enabled the smooth functioning of the defence system.
