Minister Vulin and General Cvetković Visited 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade

The Defence Minister and the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff visited today the members of the 2nd Missile Battalion of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade.

Minister Vulin: No holidays for the Serbian Armed Forces

 
Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Major General Petar Cvetković, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, accompanied by Major General Duško Žarković, Air Force and Air Defence Commander, visited members of the 2nd Missile Battalion of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade in Major Milan Tepić barracks in Jakovo.
 
According to Minister Vulin, the 250th AD Missile Brigade is the “heroic brigade and one of our most famous units”.
 
– It is a heroic brigade from the time of the NATO aggression, brigade that we remember after the downing of a stealth warplane, which for them was quite visible. This is the Brigade that managed in peacetime to preserve all its capabilities and virtues. Serviceability of materiel is at an extremely high level, as well as the motivation and morale of the personnel. The Serbian Armed Forces have no days off, no holidays, it is always ready to defend our sovereignty and our way of life, the minister of defence said and stated that Serbia can feel safe, peaceful and calm.
 
– Air Force and Air Defence capabilities are being renewed and strengthened, and therefore the possibility of peace is strengthened. Serbia can rely on its army. Our army will have a nine per cent increase in salaries, things in the army are changing for the better and thanks to the persistence and understanding of our supreme commander and president Vučić, the whole country understands that it is necessary to help its army and that every member of the Serbian Armed Forces deserves special respect, Minister Vulin concluded.
 
Major Goran Lekić, Commander of the 2nd Missile Battalion, said that the unit is tasked with control and protection of the sovereignty of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia and that in cooperation with fighter aviation and airborne early warning and control units it contributes to providing safe and secure sky over Serbia.
