Members of the 204 Air Force Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces organized the traditional “Landing of the Santa Claus and the Good Fairy” for schools for children with disabilities at the Batajnica airport today.

The campaign is running for seven consecutive years in cooperation with the humanitarian foundation “Osmeh na dar” ("The Gift of a Smile”).

The Antonov 26 aircraft of 138th Transport Aviation Squadron flew in the instructor Goran Krajinović in the role of Santa Claus and two Good Fairies Maja Nikolić and Milena Milosavljević.

The children, thirty-five of them, from the “Anton Skala” school at Stara Pazova, welcomed Santa Claus and the Good Fairies with smiles on their faces as they came out of the plane bringing sweets. Then the young visitors to the airport had the opportunity to enter the plane and meet the crew of the aircraft.

“Since there is no snow, we sent an aircraft with members of the Air Force and the Air Defence to fetch Santa Claus. For 365 days a year, we perform regular fly-by-hour tasks and we are always pleased to participate in such a humanitarian campaign. To see the children smiling is a gift to us and we are always here to help,” said Brigadier General ŽeljkoBilić, Commander of 204 Air Force Brigade.

Members of the 204 Air Force Brigade hosted their little guests at the military restaurant where the New Year's parcels provided by the first student humanitarian foundation “Osmeh na dar” were presented to the children.

Members of 204 Air Force Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces and employees of the MMA Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy also participated in the collection of sweets, toys and school supplies.
