Drivers of the Serbian Armed Forces won the third place and a bronze medal in a live firing team race, which represents the main event in the “Military Rally” event of the International Military Games, which are being held in the Republic of Tyva in the far east of the Russian Federation.

A particular success was achieved by a crew of the Serbian Armed Forces, consisting of Lance Corporal Miloš Četrović and Senior Sargent Goran Djokic who won the first place and a gold medal in the individual race in the framework of the “Military Rally”, with the best score in the competition of eight crews in the category of 6x6 formula vehicles.

The first place in the event “Military Rally” was taken by Russia, and the second place was shared by Belarus and Uzbekistan.

The drivers of the Serbian Armed Forces competed in four races: individual, then a race with firing proficiency check, a pursuit race and a team race. Non-combat vehicles were used in these races in categories 4x4 and 6x6 “Kamaz” and “Ural”, while the main team race was driven by Russian military vehicle 4x4 GAZ-2330 “Tiger”.

The races are driven in different terrain conditions, on distances from 150 to 250 kilometres. Before the start of the race, the competitors receive a route loaded into navigation devices used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, by means of which the judges monitor the details of the race and the speed of the vehicle. Besides measuring the total track time, any deviation from the given route and speeding is scored negatively.

Team leader of our military drivers and the judge at this year’s competition Colonel Dragiša Zinaja is more than satisfied with our performance in the discipline “Military Rally”.

„We worked hard, prepared well, did our best during this competition and success was not lacking. We repeated the result from the last year and confirmed that it had not been by accident, but that we have amazing military drivers, ready even for the biggest world competitions“, said Colonel Zinaja after main rally race.
Tankmen of the Serbian Armed Forces also achieved a great success today by entering into the semi-finals of the “Tank Biathlon”.
