Marking the Serbian Armed Forces Day

The Serbian Armed Forces Day — 23 April is marked by a series of events, in memory of the day when the Second Serbian Uprising erupted on Palm Sunday in 1815, which represents a historical turning point in the establishment of a modern Serbian state and army.

The holiday was marked today in the Serbian Armed Forces by units’ lining up, with the presentation of decorations and awards to the most prominent individuals and wreath-laying at the memorials to the fallen members of the Armed Forces.

Marking the holiday in the commands, units and institutions of the Serbian Armed Forces was held in compliance with all prescribed measures for the containment and prevention of the spread of the infectious disease Covid-19.

Within marking the Serbian Armed Forces Day, a promenade concert of the Representative Guard Orchestra will be held on Sunday in Knez Mihailova Street in Belgrade and a concert of the artistic ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Binički" on Kalemegdan.
