Inspection of Serbian Armed Forces Units in Ground Safety Zone

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, has visited Serbian Armed Forces personnel today as they carried out their duties in the area of responsibility of the “Tabalije” base within the Ground Safety Zone.
During the visit, he assessed the organization of life and work at the base, the challenges that members of the Republic of Serbia security forces face in this part of the country, and the unit’s readiness to carry out tasks related to controlling the Ground Safety Zone and securing the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija.
Subsequently, he followed the execution of a simultaneous patrol by the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR units along the administrative line—from Veliko Brdo to Golo Brdo—and gained direct insight into the situation on the ground in the areas where Serbian Armed Forces personnel were deployed.
Synchronized patrols represent one of the most significant joint activities conducted regularly by the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR to monitor the situation on the ground, prevent illegal activities, and strengthen mutual trust and understanding. Since their introduction in 2005, more than 5,000 such patrols have been carried out.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Chief of the General Staff has expressed satisfaction with the skills of the Serbian Armed Forces and professional cooperation maintained with KFOR, emphasizing that, although the security situation is stable, it is essential to maintain a high level of vigilance and readiness to respond.
