CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
TO AIR FORCE AND AIR DEFENCE PERSONNEL
ON 24 DECEMBER — DAY OF SERVICE
I congratulate the members of the Air Force and Air Defense on December 24 — the Day of Service.
By the decision on establishing Air Force Command based in Niš, in 1912, on Christmas Eve, the Chief of Staff of the Supreme Command, Field Marshal Radomir Putnik, founded the Air Force, which even at that time contained elements from which today's branches and services of modern military aviation and air defense were to develop.
The composition of the Air Force Command consisted of the Airplane and Balloon Departments, the Hydrogen section and the Pigeon Post section.
Dear members of the Air Force and Air Defence,
Today, your vision is a combination of modern combat equipment and highly trained people who achieve excellent results in preserving the sovereignty of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia in exercises and firings in the country and abroad and in many other contents.
By professional, expert and responsible task completion, you contribute to preserving the security of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia and strengthening the operational capability of the defence system.
I congratulate you on the Day of Service, wishing that you continue to perform the given tasks with quality and responsibility.
