Display of Modernised and Newly Introduced Serbian Armed Forces Equipment and Systems

Modernised and newly introduced Serbian Armed Forces equipment and systems were presented today at the “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” Military Airfield in Batajnica and the “Pasuljanske Livade” Training Ground, in the presence of Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić, and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović.
At the “Pasuljanske Livade” Training Ground, the public witnessed demonstrations of the capabilities of air defence systems, aircraft, helicopters, remotely piloted aircraft, artillery and missile systems, tanks, armoured fighting vehicles and anti-tank weapons. Robotic platforms, loitering munitions and a wide range of modern ordnance were also presented, along with capabilities for intelligence gathering, target detection and counter-drone operations.
The “Vampire” self-propelled multiple rocket launcher and the Lanius-X short-range combat drones featuring integrated artificial intelligence were presented for the first time.
Congratulating the members of the Serbian Armed Forces on the successful display, the President of the Republic assessed that the live firing at the “Pasuljanske Livade” Training Ground had been conducted at a significantly higher level than previously seen. Commenting on the increased use of drones compared with previous exercises, he emphasised the significance of the Lanius-X kamikaze drone, which represents a major enhancement to the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.
He said that the “Vihor” interceptor drone and the “Gavran” unmanned aerial vehicle had been presented and would enter full-scale production. He added that the combat vehicles and tanks had also demonstrated a high level of accuracy using the latest types of ammunition and missiles.
“We still have much work to do and many capabilities to strengthen, but it is clear that major changes are gradually taking place in our armed forces. We will soon have specialised units attached to the battalions and brigades of the regular forces, likely comprising more women and young people trained to operate drones and unmanned ground vehicles,” the President of Serbia emphasised.
President Vučić announced that an exercise would be held at Pešter in September.
“We will hold a significantly larger-scale exercise. Today, you had the opportunity to see multiple rocket launchers and our modular ‘Oganj’ system, as well as the completely new ‘Vampire’ systems, which entered the inventory of the Serbian Armed Forces only ten days ago. I therefore believe that those who witnessed the display were satisfied,” the President said, adding that IKA drones, which are particularly important for anti-personnel operations, had also been presented.
Today’s firing at the military training ground was attended by Prime Minister of Serbia Đuro Macut, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić, Milorad Dodik, Serb Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović, President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić, Minister of the Interior of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir, and members of the senior staffs of the Minister of Defence and the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.
The equipment employed in the firing at the “Pasuljanske Livade” Training Ground was presented earlier today at the military airfield in Batajnica.
The President of the Republic extended his Vidovdan greetings to all Serbs following the display at the airfield, saying that the citizens of Serbia could feel safe and secure because the Serbian Armed Forces were growing stronger every day.
“Today, you saw systems that had not been presented to the public before. Some of them were delivered only a few days ago. You also saw equipment that we are going to manufacture, with production in our country due to begin in just a few days. We are working well and diligently, and we will be able to protect and preserve our country—that is what matters most,” President Vučić said. He stressed that people should know that, were Serbia to be subjected to an attack or act of aggression, the aggressor would suffer heavy losses, and that few in the world would dare to take on a country that was so well equipped and armed.
