The active phase of Joint Live Fire Tactical Exercise "Fire Shield 2022" has begun at Training Ground "Pasuljanske Livade". It is being executed jointly by Army units, Air Force and Air Defence, 72nd Special Operations Brigade and 63rd Parachute Brigade.

The aim of the exercise is to enhance the abilities of the Serbian Armed Forces’ commands and some of the units to conduct day and night defensive operations in different terrain and weather conditions. There are over a thousand SAF members taking part, using about a hundred pieces of materiel and combat systems.

This week, the exercise units will perform several live fire tactical exercises, and intense training-ground activities conclude on Saturday, 9 April, with an exercise in which a reinforced tactical group is to launch a defensive operation in nighttime conditions.

The Serbian Armed Forces will take this opportunity to showcase determination, skill, fire capacities and high-level interoperability and cooperation in response to challenges, risks and threats to the security of the Republic of Serbia, as well as materiel developed by our domestic defence industry.
