In the commands, units and institutions of the Serbian Armed Forces, ceremonies were held today on the occasion of the military holidays that are celebrated on November 16, in memory of the day when, in 1914, the Battle of Kolubara began.

On this day, in memory of one of the most important battles in the First World War, the Serbian Armed Forces celebrate the Army Day, the Infantry Day and the Day of the Army Training Centre.

On the occasion of the holiday, in front of the ceremonial formations of the units, congratulations were read, the results of the work in the previous period were summarized and awards and recognitions were presented to the best individuals and units.

Reflecting on the achieved results in the year behind us, it was pointed out that members of the Army and Infantry, as its biggest arm of service, completed all set tasks and improved their ability to adequately respond to security challenges that the Republic of Serbia faces, while members of the Army Training Center have made a significant contribution to the overall training of members of the Serbian Armed Forces through the successful implementation of professional-specialist training.

Military ceremonies were held with the full implementation of all prescribed measures to combat and prevent the spread of COVID-19 infectious disease.
