Talks on Cooperation between Serbian Armed Forces and NATO

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, talked today in Belgrade with the Director of the Cooperative Security Division of the NATO International Military Staff, Major General Francesco Diella.

The current political and security situation in the region were discussed at the meeting, as well as cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR and joint activities implemented within the Partnership for Peace program.

During the meeting, readiness to continue the cooperation in areas of mutual interest was expressed, with the expectation that overall relations will continue to develop within the Partnership for Peace and with full respect for the military neutrality of the Republic of Serbia.

Major General Diela will also have a meeting with representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, at which the capacities of the Peacekeeping Operations Centre and the engagement of the Serbian Armed Forces in multinational operations and within the Operational Capabilities Concept will be presented.
