Specialist Training of Future Air Force and Air Defence NCOs

The third training module for candidates for NCOs of the Air Force and Air Defence is underway at the Air Force and Air Defence Training Centre at the "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airport in Batajnica.

In this nine-week module, future NCOs of Air Force and Air Defence acquire the necessary military-professional knowledge and skills to perform initial NCO duties within the Air Defence artillery and missile units, the air force technical unit and the air surveillance and reporting service. 

The training program includes theoretical and practical content on the means of missile and radar technology, the implementation of which provides candidates with the necessary knowledge for proper and safe work on servicing and basic maintenance of aircraft and systems for air surveillance and reporting and air defence actions.

The last – fourth phase of training is conducted in the Serbian Armed Forces units, where candidates are trained for the duties of technicians for aircraft engines, weapons and equipment, operators of radar and missile systems and general aviation duties.

The course for NCOs of the Air Force and Air Defence lasts six months and includes two basic modules, as well as specialist and internship module. Candidates who successfully master all modules will be promoted to the rank of sergeant and join the ranks of professional members of the Air Force and Air Defence.
