Reception of Best Team in MP Units Competition

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, has welcomed today the 72nd Special Operations Brigade team, 1st prize winners in the MP units’ competition. The competition was held in Kraljevo Garrison last week.

General Mojsilović praised the winners for their spirit, motivation, physical fitness and fire and tactical capabilities. He has estimated that their results confirm the reputation of this unit, setting high standards for all competitors from SAF and Ministry of the Interior.

Chief of the General Staff promoted the leader of the team Lieutenant Dalibor Samardžić to the rank of Captain for his outstanding work and results achieved.

The MP units’ competition, second in turn, was held from 16 to 20 May on SAF training grounds “Beranovac” and “Žiča” near Kraljevo, with participation from six SAF teams and four ones from the Ministry of the Interior. The four phases of the competition saw participants competing in tactical and fire assignments in a simulated urban environment and on patrol tracks, undertaking tactical actions and following security measures.

The MP Detachment for Special Purposes “Kobre” took the 2nd prize, right behind the 72nd Special Operations Brigade team, while the Gendarmery members won the 3rd prize in the overall competition.
