Marking Aviation Day

The Aviation Day was marked in the Air Force and Air Defence Command and units, in memory of August 2, 1893, when the Order was issued to establish aviation sections in each division, and they were the first Air Force units in the Serbian Armed Forces.
On the occasion of the Aviation Day, ceremonies were held at the military airfields "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" in Batajnica and "Morava" in Lađevci including wreath-laying, reading congratulatory messages and presenting awards to the most prominent individuals, as well as the title of flight instructor and golden flying signs.
The ceremony at the airfield in Batajnica was attended by the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence, Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, who congratulated the aviation members on the holiday and acknowledged the achieved results.
