Wednesday, 29.7.2026 | Training
The first module of the Basic NCO Course, attended by selected professional soldiers, is currently underway at the “Sergeant Milunka Savić” NCO Training Centre.
The course participants had previously successfully completed the Leadership Course; through their results, dedication, and attitude toward their duties, they qualified to continue their professional development and train for their initial NCO roles within the Serbian Armed Forces.
During the first module, professional soldiers acquire and enhance the knowledge and skills necessary to command a squad, execute general tactical tasks, and conduct basic individual and general military training correctly. At the same time, they develop leadership abilities and learn how to make decisions in various situations and apply practically the knowledge they have gained.
The training comprises both theoretical and practical components, accompanied by continuous performance monitoring and competency assessments. The course’s demanding pace fosters a sense of responsibility, independence, and team spirit, while equipping future NCOs with the ability to command soldiers effectively and execute tasks within Serbian Armed Forces units.
Upon completion of the first module, the course participants will undergo specialist training, during which they will qualify to perform initial NCO duties, in accordance with their specific branch or service.
By successfully completing the entire Basic NCO Course curriculum, professional soldiers meet the requirements to join the ranks of the Serbian Armed Forces' NCO corps, assume positions of responsibility, and pursue further professional development.
