On the occasion of the Military Police Day, I wish to extend my cordial congratulations to all members of the Military Police, with deep respect for your work, knowledge and commitment contributing to the preservation of security, reputation and power of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Republic of Serbia.
For more than seven decades of its existence, the Military Police has been an important and reliable pillar of the Serbian Armed Forces. Through all the challenges and changes that have been part of its development, members of the Military Police have been pursuing the highest values – professionalism, discipline, honor, legality and readiness to respond responsibly and decisively when it is needed the most.
Investments in the improvement of training, modern equipment and application of new knowledge and technologies, represent an important prerequisite for an efficient accomplishment of tasks and maintenance of the high operational capability level. In that process, participation of Military Police members in exercise and training activities is also important, where, through joint action, your proficiency and readiness to perform the most complex tasks is also confirmed.
In the time of accelerated changes and increasingly complex security challenges, there are new demands in front of you requiring modern knowledge, supreme skills and capability to act decisively and wisely in different circumstances. Therefore, together with developing human resources, it is particularly important to continue modernizing the equipment, enhancing working conditions and strengthening the capabilities in support of the modern defense system.
May this holiday be an opportunity to look back proudly on the journey made by the Military Police, pay tribute to all those that were part of its development, and look with confidence into the future that will be created by new generations of your members.
