Training of CBRN Units for Deployment in Multinational Operation

Training of units from the 246th Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense Battalion declared for deployment in multinational operations under the Operational Capabilities Concept is underway in the barracks "Car Lazar" and at the military complex "Ravnjak" in Kruševac.
Members of these units of the Serbian Armed Forces undergo comprehensive preparations and complex training to ensure full readiness to perform tasks in a multinational environment.
In this period of training, contents from tactical, fire and physical training and international humanitarian law are conducted. The focus is on topics in the field of radiological-chemical-biological decontamination of people, weapons and technical means, as well as chemical decontamination of land and buildings.
In the coming period, declared units from the 246th CBRN Battalion expect tactical exercises in field conditions at the range "Borovac" and at the base "South", when the verification and assessment of interoperability and combat readiness of these units will be conducted.
Operational capabilities concept is a program that builds, achieves and verifies the interoperability and combat readiness of declared units for deployment in multinational operations. The Republic of Serbia has declared one motorized infantry company, one general support engineering company, two military police platoons and two CBRN platoons in the Operational Capabilities Concept "pool of forces".
