Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, has visited today several military facilities in the vicinity of Belgrade as part of routine activities involving examination of the progress made in the enhancement of organization and functioning of SAF units.

Among others, General Mojsilović visited the location planned for building new facilities for storing materiel and ordering air defence units’ fire positions, as well as part of the Central Logistics Base facilities for storing and preserving mobile quartermaster items.

Chief of the General Staff has taken this opportunity to express his satisfaction with the fact that, after decades of reducing, closing down the units and stagnation, the Serbian Armed Forces are able to build facilities for modern combat systems and establish new garrisons and units thanks to the full support provided by the state leadership and record investments in the defence system. That is the way to enhance further the combat readiness and strategic disposition of the Serbian Armed Forces, a task assigned to us by the Supreme Commander. He has pointed out that this time he personally saw that officers, soldiers and civilians employed with the Serbian Armed Forces worked hard and performed their tasks responsibly, showing unequivocally that they were the greatest wealth and force of our military.

During the visit, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff was accompanied by Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, and Head of the Logistics Directorate (J-4) of the General Staff, Major General Srđan Petković.
