Unexploded Ordnance Removal Instructor Course

Instructors training for the unexploded ordnance removal is underway in the barracks "Ratko Pavlović Ćićko" in Prokuplje, conducted with the support of the United States of America Office of Defence Cooperation in Belgrade.

The several week training, conducted by a team of instructors from the US Armed Forces, is attended by the Serbian Armed Forces personnel with many years of experience in removing unexploded ordnance and humanitarian demining, who are being qualified to independently conduct training in this area.

The program includes theoretical and practical contents related to conducting training for field search, detection, excavation, neutralization and safe removal of located unexploded ordnance, as well as practical exercises with the use of live mines and explosives.

By conducting this joint training with the US Armed Forces, the Serbian Armed Forces acquire personnel qualified to perform training for conducting specific tasks with explosive ordnance by international standards, and at the same time contributes to strengthening overall bilateral relations.
