Exercise of Special Operations Battalion “Griffons”

This week, the Command of the Special Operations Battalion “Griffons”, 72nd Special Operations Brigade, is conducting an exercise at the Serbian Armed Forces’ Simulation Training Center in Belgrade.
During the exercise, in a simulated operational environment, staff officers, NCOs and unit commanders are trained to plan, organize and execute combat actions in special force operations.
Along with the daily analysis of work of the Command in the decision-making process at all levels of command in the brigade, the focus of the computer-assisted simulation exercise is on a comprehensive approach to solving complex tasks in the AO.
They also practice the tactics and staff procedures, checking the knowledge of principles of employing the units and assets, as well as interoperability and cooperation with units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
Computer-assisted simulation exercises represent an important form of practical training of the Serbian Armed Forces’ commands. Such exercises afford an opportunity for staff officers and unit commands to improve their ability to plan and execute combat operations, using the minimum amount of material resources.
