Educational Visit of Military Gymnasium Students to the Air Force and Air Defense

The students of the first and second grade of the Military Gymnasium paid an educational visit to the Air Force and Air Defense Command in Zemun and the 204th Aviation Brigade at the "Colonel Pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airport in Batajnica yesterday.

The visit was carried out in accordance with the curriculum for aviation students, with the aim of familiarizing them with the method of pilot training of the Serbian Armed Forces and a direct insight into the regular flight activities carried out by the aviation units.

At the Air Force and Air Defense Command, the students were received by the Chief of Staff of this operational component of the Serbian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Gordan Pavlović, who presented them with missions and tasks and introduced them to the selection process that they go through to obtain the title of military pilot during their education at the Military Gymnasium and then at the Military Academy.

After this, the Military Gymnasium students visited the airport in Batajnica, where they had the opportunity to tour the flight simulator for the MiG-29 aircraft and attend the activities of members of the 204th Aviation Brigade as part of a regular flying day. On this occasion, a Mi-17 helicopter flight was also organized for them.

The Military Gymnasium is an educational institution founded in 1970, with the main task of preparing students for continuing education at the Military Academy, contributing to the formation and development of motivation, ethical personality traits, intellectual and psycho-physical abilities necessary for the vocation of the Serbian Armed Forces officer.
