Tactical Exercise “Platinum Wolf 25”

The Multinational Tactical Exercise Platinum Wolf 25, organized by the Serbian Armed Forces with the support of the U.S. European Command, has begun at the South Base near Bujanovac today.
Exercise activities will be carried out until June 27, with the aim of improving the interoperability and mutual understanding of the armed forces of the partner countries while conducting a peace support operation in an international environment.
More than 700 members of the Serbian Armed Forces and armed forces of Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, the United States of America, Montenegro and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are participating in the exercise, and this year for the first time the personnel of the Balkan Medical Task Force International Organization have also been engaged, with an active part in the exercise segments related to the provision of medical assistance and medical evacuation in crisis situations.
In the next two weeks, at the South Base, “Borovac” Training Ground and “Vrtogoš” Firing Range, the participants will be practicing the tactics, techniques and procedures applied when engaging in peacekeeping operations. Securing the base and convoys, patrolling, blocking and searching the terrain and fight in an urban environment are only a part of the exercise activities stipulated in the exercise scenario.
The “Platinum Wolf” exercises have been implemented in Serbia since 2014, their importance being in raising not only the planning capacities, organizing and conducting international exercises, but also the abilities of the Serbian Armed Forces units to engage in peacekeeping operations.
