Military police units are currently conducting intensive activities at Serbian Armed Forces training grounds and locations outside their peacetime bases as part of the final phase of the live-fire joint tactical exercise “Victor 2026”.

Military police units from across the Serbian Armed Forces are participating in the exercise, aiming to test and further enhance their capabilities for preparing and executing both combat and non-combat tasks within counter-sabotage operations. These tasks are being carried out using modern weaponry and military equipment recently issued to the units.

According to the exercise scenario, military police forces deployed to the operational area following an alert and are now conducting tactical drills and live-fire exercises. By executing complex tactical tasks, they are honing their skills in area control, blockades, and terrain searches, as well as the encirclement and neutralization of sabotage groups. They are also practicing the application of active and passive countermeasures against remotely piloted aircraft, medical evacuation, crime scene investigation, and counter-sabotage sweeps.

General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, visited the units performing tasks at the “Međa” training ground today. He observed a live-fire tactical exercise in which military police squads demonstrated their proficiency in searching terrain and facilities, establishing a tight blockade perimeter, and neutralizing an infiltrating sabotage-terrorist group.

Speaking with the soldiers and officers, General Mojsilović commended the results achieved in live-fire drills, the excellent tactical execution, and the proficiency shown in operating newly introduced weaponry and military equipment; he emphasized that investment in the capabilities of military police units would continue to ensure their readiness to respond to modern security threats.

The Victor 2026 joint live-fire tactical exercise began in late August and runs until October 4. Activities to date have confirmed a high level of skills, preparedness, and professionalism of Serbian Armed Forces personnel, as well as their ability to effectively employ new and modernized equipment and systems.
