First of Two CASA C-295 Transport Aircraft Put Into Service in Serbian Armed Forces

Minister of Defense Miloš Vučević and Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović have visited the “Colonel Pilot Milenko Pavlović” Military Airfield in Batajnica today, where the new CASA C-295 transport aircraft of the Serbian Armed Forces is based.

On this occasion, the purpose, capabilities and characteristics of that aircraft were presented, whose introduction into operational use in the Serbian Armed Forces significantly improved the capabilities of our Air Force.

Pilots and technicians of the Serbian Armed Forces underwent timely retraining in the Kingdom of Spain for the management of this type of aircraft, i.e. for its basic technical maintenance, and are fully qualified for the tasks awaiting them.

In the conversation with the flight and technical personnel, Minister Vučević and General Mojsilović saw personally their skills, motivation for work and satisfaction that they have such a modern aircraft in their unit.

The contract with the company Airbus Defense and Space from the Kingdom of Spain concluded the procurement of two transport aircraft CASA C-295, which will be used for the transport of people and cargo, VIP and medical transportation.
