IT Service Day Marked

Today, in the Telecommunications and Information Directorate (J-6) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Day of the Information Service and the Day of the Command and Information Systems and IT Support Centre were marked.
On the occasion of the Day, the results of the work in the year behind us and the most prominent individuals were given awards and incentive measures.
The celebration of the Day was an opportunity to emphasize the importance of the information service for the continuity of telecommunications and information security and information protection, as well as the results achieved in designing and constructing telecommunications information system in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
Day of the Information Service and the Day of the Command and Information Systems and IT Support Centre are marked in memory of February 21, 1963, when the Sixth Directorate of the Yugoslav Peoples Army General Staff was formed, to which the Data Processing Centre was subordinated.
