Marking the Day of the Third Army Brigade

In Knjaz Mihailo barracks in Nis today, a ceremony on the occasion of the Day of the Third Army Brigade was held.

The ceremony was attended by Army Commander Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic, Bishop of Raska and Prizren and administrator of Nis Eparchy Teodosije, the Mayor of Nis, Darko Bulatovic, commanders of units and institutions of the Army and the Nis garrison, heads of Nisava and Toplica administrative districts, Aleksandar Cvetkovic and Nebojsa Vukadinovic, representatives of municipalities, veterans' organizations, the Organization for Reserve Officers, military pensioners, schools and institutions of the city of Nis.

Army Commander, Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic, congratulated the members of the Third Brigade on the patron Saint’s day and the day of the unit and on that occasion he stressed that: "The Third Brigade has been successfully executing all its tasks for many years. We have to be persistent, consistent, persistent and hope for a better equipment, and qualification is something on which we are to work and thus be a true successor of our Iron Regiment, which we are all proud of, not only in the Third Brigade, but also in the Army and the Serbian Armed Forces. The soldiers, officers and NCOs of the Iron Regiment were powerful soldiers, but also our third brigade is a unit that successfully carries out the tasks of the new era, both in our country and abroad. We hope for better equipment in the coming period and of course we will continue with the training and professional development of our people and strive to be better. "

The commander of the Third Army Brigade, Brigadier General Mile Jelic, in his address, spoke about the history of the Second Infantry Regiment Knjaz Mihailo and stressed that the operational capabilities of the brigade, over the last year, were built up and maintained at the required level, with emphasis on training of commands and units.
 
Transitional flag for the best company went to the reconnaissance troop of the command battalion, commanded by Major Lazar Kalat.
