Training Command Day

A military ceremony on the occasion of the Training Command Day, which is celebrated on January 15 in memory of the day when the Law on the Organization of the Army was passed in 1883, has been held today at the “Topčider” Barracks in Belgrade.
The ceremonial gathering was attended by Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, members of the collegium of the Minister of Defense and the extended collegium of the Chief of the General Staff, representatives of the state authorities, local government authorities, public and private companies and numerous guests.
Commander of the Training Command, Brigadier General Dragiša Zlatković, has pointed out in his speech that the Training Command trains all categories of personnel, being a bridge that connects the two arms of the Serbian Armed Forces.
— Our abilities have been verified through numerous activities in the past year, from individual training of different types of personnel and improvement in the application of newly introduced and received equipment and weapons, development of new NCOs, execution of 75 national exercises and almost 800 firing activities using personal and collective weapons, as well as participation in multinational operations in Lebanon and in tasks within the third mission of the Serbian Armed Forces. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff for their help in the work, and the authorities, the Serbian Orthodox Church and other religious communities, public and private companies and numerous associations — for their exceptional cooperation — said General Zlatković.
The commemoration of the Training Command Day was completed by the performance of the MOD Artistic Ensemble “Stanislav Binički”.
The Training Command is an operational unit of the Serbian Armed Forces intended for individual training of all personnel categories and development of the Territorial Forces. The command of the formation is located in Belgrade, while training centers and territorial brigades are located in garrisons and garrison places from Sombor to Leskovac.
