The Day of Aeronautical Institute "Moma Stanojlović"

At the Aeronautical Institute "Moma Stanojlović", the day of that military institution was solemnly celebrated today – the 1st July, in memory of the day when, in 1916, an airplane workshop was formed at the airport Mikra near Thessaloniki.
As part of the ceremony, in front of the Institute staff, the past year performance results were summarized and awards were presented to outstanding individuals. A wreath was laid at the memorial to pilot Momčilo Moma Stanojlović, whose name the Institute is proud to bear.
The ceremony was attended by the representatives of the organisational units of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, local self-government bodies and business entities with which the Institute successfully cooperates, as well as by former employees of this renowned military institution.
