Meeting with Commander of JFC Naples

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, has received Commander of NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Naples today, U. S. Armed Forces’ Admiral Stuart B. Munsch, who is paying a farewell visit to the Republic of Serbia.
At the meeting, the results of the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and JFC Naples when it was headed by Admiral Munsch were summarized, and views on current security challenges in the region and world were exchanged. A significant part of the conversation was devoted to the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija, since the International Security Forces in our province are under the responsibility of the JFC Naples.
It has been established that the cooperation so far has been constructive and aimed at developing the capabilities of the armed forces and preserving peace and stability in the region, as well as that the established mechanisms enable the continuation of cooperation with full respect for the military neutrality of the Republic of Serbia. The importance of direct high-level contacts for preventing the emergence of a crisis and preserving security in Kosovo and Metohija and regional peace was also highlighted.
On this occasion, General Mojsilović thanked Admiral Munsch for his professional and correct cooperation during his mandate as head of operations command in Naples and wished him success on a personal level and in his future endeavors. At the same time, he expressed the expectation that he would have a direct and open communication with his successor in that position.
Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić has also received Admiral Munsch on a farewell visit today.
