Honorary salvo to celebrate the National day of Serbia

02/14/2012 | News In celebration of the 15th February, the National Day of the Republic of Serbia, by the order of the President of the Republic honorary artillery fire was conducted in Dedinje barracks last evening. After raising the national flag, firing ten volleys from six artillery weapons were performed by the Honor Battalion of the Guard. The honorary salvo was attended by SAF CHOD Lieutenant General Ljubisa Dikovic with members of the corps.

New Day of Serbian Armed Forces

02/10/2012 | News The new Day of the SAF as of this year will be on the 23rd of April. The decision to celebrate this date as the day of the SAF was signed by Serbian President Boris Tadic, on the recommendation of the Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac. Up to now, the 15th February was celebrated as the Day of the Armed Forces Day, thus remembering the start of the first Serbian uprising against the Ottoman Empire, while on the same day we still honor the National Day and the day of promulgation of the Sretenje Constitution adopted in 1835.

Visit of the defense minister of Macedonia

This is the first official bilateral visit of the Macedonian Minister of Defense in the past five years. New Aircraft for the Serbian Armed Forces

01/25/2012 | News Ministry of Defence purchased for the Military Geographical Institute the state-of-the-art digital technological line for aerial photogrammetric survey. The set of equipment includes a Piper Seneca V aircraft produced by the US manufacturer Piper Aircraft, with an integrated Aerial Digital Sensor ADS80 of the Swiss manufacturer Leica Geosystems AG, and the associated software.

This is the first official meeting of the two generals. Generals Dikovic and Lovric discussed the possibilities for improving cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, especially in the field of nuclear-biological-chemical defence, logistics, training and education of personnel.

Second rotation of SAF peacekeeprs return from the mission in Lebannon

01/03/2012 | News Serbian Army members who formed the second contingent of Serbian soldiers in the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Lebanon were welcomed yesterday at the Belgrade airport "Nikola Tesla" by the Head of the Centre for Peacekeeping Operations of the General Staff Colonel Jelesije Radivojevic, as well as their family and friends. Lt. Col. Igor Scepanovic, Majors Stevan Raseta, I. Trajkovic and Srdjan Bulatovic and captain Slavko Djukic returned to Serbia after a six-month stay in Lebanon, where they were assigned as staff officers.
