CIMIC Department (J-9)
CIMIC Department (J-9) is an organizational unit of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff which is the owner of civil-military cooperation in the defense system of the Republic of Serbia.
The Chief of the CIMIC Department (J-9) is Colonel Branko Popović.
Tasks of the CIMIC Department (J-9)
- Planning of civil-military cooperation in current operations of the Serbian Armed Forces and in the long-term planning of the defence of the Republic of Serbia;
- Development of proposals for civil-military cooperation funding programs and plans;
- Development of doctrinal documents in the field of civil-military cooperation;
- Proposing, planning and drafting rules for the engagement of the Serbian Armed Forces in the field of civil-military cooperation;
- Training in the field of civil-military cooperation;
- Updating and maintaining a database on the state of the environment in which units of the Serbian Armed Forces perform operations or will perform them.
