Human Resources Directorate (J-1)
The Human Resources Directorate (J-1) is an organizational unit of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces responsible for uniting tasks in the personnel, morale and the religious function.
The Chief of the Human Resources Directorate (J-1) is Brigadier General Savo Iriškić.
The scope of work of the Human Resources Directorate (J-1) includes:
- Analysis, planning and selection of human resources;
- Socialization of professional members;
- Evaluating the efficiency and capabilities of professional members;
- Rewarding and motivating professional members;
- Care for the health and safety of professional members;
- Career planning and development;
- Morale and psychological preparations;
- Planning, organizing and coordinating activities for the development of the morale component of the military power of the Serbian Armed Forces;
- Monitoring, building and evaluating the morale of members of the Serbian Armed Forces;
- Planning, organizing and coordinating evaluation activities and nurturing of traditions and cultural activities in the Serbian Armed Forces;
- Planning, organizing and coordinating work of psychologists in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces;
- Organizing, planning, coordinating activities of the Chaplaincy service in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
The Human Resources Directorate was established on February 25, 2005 and took over the responsibilities of the Personnel Directorate and the Morale Directorate of the General Staff of the Army of Serbia and Montenegro.
