Military Police Training Centre

The purpose of the Military Police Training Centre is training of MP personnel for performing military police tasks.

The Military Police Training Centre consists of the Section for Tactics, Assets and Equipment of the Military Police and the Section for Forensic and Operational Affairs. In the organizational and functional terms, this centre is subordinated to the Military Police Department of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.

Lieutenant Colonel Darko Dimitrijević is the Commander of the Military Police Training Centre.

The MP Training Centre performs the following tasks:

Over its 55 years of existence, the Centre has repeatedly changed its name and location, but its purpose has always been training of the military police personnel for performing their duties in the military police units and organizations. Since June 2009, the Centre is under the direct command of the Military Police Directorate of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, which has created new opportunities and prospects for education and training of the military police personnel. 

Teachers and instructors from the Training Centre are responsible for the training process, with the assistance of MP officers and NCOs, who share with students their rich experience from working in MP units and organizations. 

In its long history, the Centre has also trained a number of foreign military personnel. In the teaching process, the Centre cooperates with the security and intelligence organizations of the Ministry of Defence and the institutions and bodies of the Ministry of Interior, whose primary task is the training of their personnel for duties in the security sector.
